I want to start off by saying that what I say here is not in any way a conclusive answer. The points expressed are solely mine, if others choose to agree then so be it. You may not like or agree with what I will be saying but it is how I feel and I am unlikely to change that.

The question is, ‘What compels someone to own a slave real life?’ I do not include the quotation marks around the word slave as I see it as a true thing. Not something that can be para-phrased. No offense there Shayde.

What I think the question is not, ‘why would someone own a slave?’ but more so, ‘why would a woman wish to submit herself to slavery?’ Slavery is conditional first and foremost. It is not as if I went down to the store and picked out a slut on the wall. So what I think we must look at is really a step by step process here.
